Awana Registration

Awana will resume in September 2008.  We had a wonderful first year and are looking forward to fall.  The kids did so well with their verses and it was a blessing to all involved.

To defray the high cost of the Awana program we are asking for a love offering of $5.00 due with registration in September and again in January of 2008.  There will be  weekly dues of .50 cents.  Scholarships will be available, and no child is ever turned away.

Awana Registration Form

Click on the link  and print the Adobe PDF Awana Registration and fill it out.  Bring it back to the church on Sunday or drop it by the church office at 1515 N. Live Oak.  Please make special note of the size charts on the back of the registration form.

Awana is a program that combines learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for kids.  Weekly club nights are Bible-Centered, helping kids build a firm foundation for their faith.  Awana’s key verse if found in 2 Timothy 2:15:

Do your best to present yourself
 to God as one approved,
a workman who does not need to be ashamed
and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Awana is broken down into three groups:
    Pre-School Cubbies
    Kindergarten to 2nd Grade Sparks
    3rd to 5th Grade Truth & Training

If you would like to participate in Awana consider the following volunteer roles:

Director of Cubbies, Sparks, or T&T
Oversees club program, shepherding leaders and communicating to parents, clubbers, leaders, and church.

Leader of Cubbies, Sparks, or T&T
Builds relationships with a small group of clubbers to help them learn.

Listener
Supports the clubbers by listening to them recite their verses.

LIT (Leader in Training)
Teenager who serves alongside an adult leader.

Game Director
Plans and leads games during Game Time.

Large Group Teacher
Teaches Bible lessons in a large group setting once or twice a season.

Secretary
